Advice for consumers who have been affected by the collapse of the wedding gift company, Wrapit.

Advice for Wrapit Customers

On 4 August 2008 Jane Bronwen Moriarty and Myles Antony Halley from KPMG were appointed joint administrators of Wrapit PLC who have gone into administration.

Any customers, guests, suppliers or any other interested parties with any queries should call the following help line:

0844 770 1301

According to the company website, the Administrators are currently assessing which stock has been allocated to customers and they will be doing everything they can to deliver allocated goods in the warehouse that have been paid for in full and specifically allocated to the customer over the next two weeks. Consumers will be contacted if such goods specific to them are held.

Unfortunately at this stage they do not anticipate funds being available for unsecured creditors. However, a full report on the progress of the administration and the prospect for unsecured creditors will be available within the next 8 weeks.

If goods were purchased using a credit card, and the cost of an individual item is over £100, consumers may be able to reclaim their money from their credit card company - section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act makes the credit card company equally liable for any breach of contract where the cash price of an item is over £100 (but not more than £30,000).
